An Interview with Donn Swaby
The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.
We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the author Donn Swaby. Donn is a native of Queens, New York, an educator, an author, an accomplished TV and Film Actor and a first generation American with both sides of his family hailing from Jamaica. His passion for storytelling began early on, falling in love with novels like The Lord of the Rings and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, while his love for films like Indiana Jones and Star Wars sparked a lifelong love of science fiction, and topics like archaeology, ancient civilizations, mythology and world cultures.
