An Interview With Sandra Van Doorn

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an interview with the children's book illustrator, Sandra Van Doorn. Sandra was born in France and now lives in Australia. She attended art classes at Emily Carr University in Vancouver before embarking on her career as a children's illustrator. She is the talented illustrator of Sleep Well, Siba and Saba and Sing to the Moon.

Recently, Sandra has entered the exciting world of children's publishing. You can find out more about her publishing house, Red Paper Kite, here.

To see more of Sandra's wonderful illustrations, you can visit her website www.sandravandoorn.com.
