An Interview With Andy Briggs

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an interview with Andy Briggs. Andy is a screenwriter, graphic novelist, author and conservationist – writing on film and TV movie projects such as “JUDGE DREDD” and “FREDDY VS JASON” and “FOREVERMAN” for Paramount Pictures, Spiderman creator Stan Lee. LEGENDARY – starring Scott Adkins and Dolph Lungdren. In 2017 his latest movie, CROWHURST, was released this year to critical acclaim.  

Andy’s first books were the eight-part HERO.COM and VILLAIN.NET series for OUP. He followed that with a three-part modern reboot the classic character TARZAN.  His current series of middle grade novels – THE INVENTORY – is published by Scholastic. And his latest book, DRONE RACER, is out in September.
