An Interview With Chitra Soundar

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are thrilled to present an exclusive interview with Chitra Soundar. Chitra was born in Chennai in the south of India but moved to live in London via Singapore. She is the author of numerous books for children - A Jar of Pickles and a Pinch of Justice, Pattan's Pumpkin and the Farmer Falgu series for example - that have her native India as their setting.
