Play Dead by Harlen Coben.

This is a fantastically constructed book with so many turns. There are a number of revelations along the way; I am a fan of Coben's crime solving and I finished this book in about three days.

There is a disappearance of a man on honeymoon in Australia which leads his wife Laura to uncover a web of lies that leads back over 30 years, only to get to the end and find out everything she uncovered has again be part of a plot twist by Coben to reveal only something new, right until the last page!

It is both enticing and ludicrous in what it will reveal - and I think, for me, that is what makes it so appealing. The writer is very detailed and there are some very graphic descriptions to describe certain events which does make the novel and the plot more vivid.

He writes with an incredible number of plot twists and he is also quite humorous in places. What I love is the fact you are made to believe one thing, and through narrative misdirection, and this then turns out to be something totally different. He is a writer who keeps the mind very active.

There are also a series of books he writes about his private detective Myron Bolitar who I think is fabulous in the way he goes out to solve crime.

I have read all of Coben's novels and if you enjoy a good mystery then I would certainly recommend you pick up one his books and begin to read!
